The ox figure from the Leonardo Nativity Scene is traditionally placed on the right-hand side behind the Holy Family. Although there is no mention of oxen or donkeys in the New Testament, they have long been an integral part of Christmas nativity scenes. The ox was designed with care and attention to detail and carved from fine, high-quality sycamore wood. It is painted according to traditional methods and is therefore considered a unique, high-quality piece of craftsmanship.

The wood carvings are made using traditional South Tyrolean craftsmanship and are hand-painted. As a result, the painting and grain may differ slightly from the product photo.

For example, in a nativity scene series of 10cm, St. Mary is only about 7cm high, as she is proportional to the 10cm high St. Joseph.
