The nativity figure of the baby Jesus from the Akantus nativity scene is considered the main figure of the traditional Christmas nativity scene. The newborn lies in a manger made of straw, which is the central point of the nativity scene. The miracle of the birth of Jesus and the mysterious circumstances symbolize God, who became human through the child. This figure was designed in South Tyrol with great care and attention to detail. The baby Jesus was carved from fine mountain maple wood and the painting is done with the best quality according to traditional models.
Note on manufacturing
The wood carvings are made using traditional South Tyrolean craftsmanship and are hand-painted. As a result, the painting and grain may differ slightly from the product photo.
